KeNIC announces the conclusion of Mr. Paul Kariuki’s tenure as Chairman of the Board, marking the end of a significant chapter of leadership and service to the organization. 

Mr. Kariuki, who assumed the role on October 5th, 2023, has provided steady leadership and strategic direction during his tenure. Under his guidance, KeNIC continued to strengthen its position as Kenya’s Top-Level Domain Registry, enhancing stakeholder engagement, supporting the growth of the domain ecosystem, and reinforcing partnerships across the public and private sectors. The Board and Management express their sincere appreciation for his dedication, leadership, and contribution to the organization. 

The KeNIC Board is pleased to announce that Mr. Thomas Odhiambo has assumed the role of Chairman of the Board. Mr. Odhiambo previously served as the Vice Chairperson of the KeNIC Board and is the Deputy Director, Project Management Office at the ICT Authority (ICTA). 

Mr. Odhiambo brings extensive experience in ICT leadership, project management, and public sector digital transformation. His deep understanding of the ICT landscape and governance frameworks positions him well to steer KeNIC into its next phase of growth and innovation. 

KeNIC looks forward to continued success under Mr. Odhiambo’s leadership as the organization advances its mandate of managing the .KE country code Top-Level Domain and supporting the growth of Kenya’s digital economy.
