August 2025: KeNIC Enhances Global Internet Governance Influence through TCCM Secretariat Membership

KeNIC is excited to announce its recent involvement as a Secretariat member of the Technical Community Coalition on Multistakeholderism (TCCM), a key platform that brings together technical Internet community organizations worldwide.

This membership empowers KeNIC by providing:

  • Enhanced engagement opportunities with global Internet governance forums such as the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and the WSIS High-Level Forum.

  • A stronger platform to advocate for Kenya’s interests in technical Internet policy, sustainable funding for key digital governance initiatives, and the promotion of an open, secure, and resilient Internet.

  • Access to multistakeholder processes that shape global digital policy frameworks, including those related to the WSIS Action Lines and the Global Digital Compact.

  • Collaboration with government representatives, industry experts, and other stakeholders to advance the role of the technical community in Internet governance.

As part of the TCCM Secretariat, KeNIC will play a vital role in driving impactful digital policy decisions, improving global Internet governance sustainability, and ensuring that technical expertise from Kenya is heard on the world stage.
